The Maryland State Firemen’s Association regretfully announce the passing of Richard Smith of the Oxford Fire Company. Richard Served the MSFA as a member of the Executive Committee, Chair of the Legislative Committee, Chair of the Hall of Fame Committee, and Vice-Chair of the Sprinkler Committee. Richard was placed into the MSFA Hall of Fame, he was also honored in 2016 with the Senator William H. Amoss Memorial Legislative Award, and in 2017 he received the Gladhill Thompson Award.
Richard also served as the President of the Eastern Shore Firefighters Association, and President of Talbot County Firefighters Association.
