Award Description:

This award is known as the Honey Award, named in memory of Olivia P. “Honey” King, Past President of the Auxiliary of the Damascus Volunteer Fire Department. It is intended to be a memorial to her more than four decades of dedicated service to the volunteer emergency services and other organizations of her community, County and State.

It is to be presented by Kenneth T. King and Leonard T. King at the Annual Convention of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association.

Entries must be submitted to the current President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association by a date determined by the President. The officers of the LAMSFA will review all entries and select a winner.

RULES AND GUIDELINES

  1. Individual must be a member of a member auxiliary of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association.
  2. Individual must have been a member of their home auxiliary for more than twenty (20) years.
  3. Individual must have served with their county auxiliary organization.
  4. Individual must have served with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association.
  5. Individual must have served their community in some capacity in addition to their auxiliary; such as church, youth
