All Officers, Committee Chairs and Organizations Representatives:
President Johnie Roth has scheduled his February meeting of the Executive Committee of the Maryland State Firemen's Association for Saturday, February 6 and Sunday, February 7, 2016 at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department, Hollywood, MD. The meeting will be called to order promptly at 0930 hours.
A Continental Breakfast will be offered by the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday and Sunday starting at 0730 hours prior to the start of the meeting. Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary will also be serving a hot lunch both days for a charge.
For those desiring to stay overnight, arrangements have been made at the Country Inn and Suites Lexington Park, 44941 Worth Lane, California, MD. A block of rooms is being held for MSFA at a reduced rate. Each individual is responsible for making their own arrangements. For reservations, call 1-301-737-5227 group code "MSFA". Rooms are $89.00 a night.
A "Welcome Reception" is planned for Friday Evening at the Country Inn and Suites Lexington Park, 44941 Worth Lane, California, MD between the hours of 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. where you will have a chance to mingle with all. The room number will be announced at a later time.
President Roth announced for those not participating in the meeting on Saturday, February 5th, there will be an opportunity to shop or tour some of the historic places in St. Mary's and Calvert County.
Remember - All Committee Chairs, Organizations and Agencies are reminded that your reports must be sent electronically to the Secretary's Office at report@msfa.org no later than January 31, 2016. A copy of the Agenda for Committees and EMSOF Partners reporting dates, will be forth coming. You are also requested to have fifteen (15) copies of your report prepared for distribution prior to your reporting time and should be turned into the Secretary's Office as soon as possible.
As in the past, any budget request must be submitted to Chairman Stephan Cox at budget@msfa.org.
President Roth has announced again that all gentlemen attending the Sunday, February 6th portion of the meeting, should be dressed appropriately with a Sport Coat and tie. Also, do not forget the Black Eye Susan Pin.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings of the Executive Committee so that you can be better informed and updated on the various emergency services issues, to better serve the citizens of Our Great State.
