All Officers, Committee Chairs and Organizations Representatives:
President John Denver has scheduled the next meeting of the Executive Committee of the Maryland State Firemen's Association for Saturday February 23rd, 2013 and Sunday, February 24th, 2013 at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department, 1610 Main Street, Chester, MD.
Present Denver has schedule a "Welcome Reception" for Friday Evening, February 22nd at the Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department between 1900 and 2100 hours, with light deserts, beverage and a chance for all to mingle.
Saturday Morning, The Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department will be serving a hot breakfast. After that, President Denver has arranged a shopping excursion for those not participating in the meeting on Saturday to the Annapolis Westfield Mall. Bus service will be provided, leaving Kent Island VFD at 9:30 a.m. and arriving at the mall by 10:00. Bus will be departing the mall at 3:00 p.m. returning to the firehouse by 3:30 p.m. After the meeting on Saturday, The Kent Island Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a reception at the firehouse. There will be coffee and pastries on Sunday morning.
Please check the attached reporting schedule for the order in which you have been scheduled to report to the Executive Committee. If this schedule presents a problem, contact Executive Committee Chairman Benjamin Kurtz so that you may re-schedule. All Committee Chairs, agencies and organizations are reminded that your reports must be sent electronically to the Secretary's Office at reports@msfa.org no later than February 17, 2013. You are also requested to have ten (10) copies of your report prepared for distribution prior to your reporting time and should be turned into the Secretary as soon as you arrive. The reporting schedule will be forthcoming.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings of the Executive Committee so that you can be better informed and updated on the various emergency services issues, to better serve the citizens of our state.
