President Michael Faust has scheduled his first meeting of the Executive Committee of the Maryland State Firemen's Association for Saturday, September 21, 2019 and Sunday, September 22, 2019 at the Bay District Volunteer Fire Department, 46900 S Shangri La Drive, Lexington Park, MD. The meeting will be called to order promptly at 1030 hours.
A Breakfast will be offered by the Bay District VFD on Saturday starting at 0730 hours and a Continental breakfast on Sunday Morning prior to the start of the meeting. Bay District VFD will also be serving lunch both days for a charge.
For those desiring to stay overnight, arrangements have been made at the Country Inn and Suites, 44941 Worth Lane, California, MD. A block of rooms is being held for MSFA at a reduced rate. Each individual is responsible for making their own arrangements. For reservations, call 1-301-737-5227 and group code "Maryland State Firemen's Association". Standard Queen Rooms are $109.00 a night or a King Studio at $129.00 per night.
A "Welcome Reception" is planned for Friday Evening at the Country Inn & Suites, 44941 Worth Lane, California, MD from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The event will be sponsored by the Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen's Association. Come by and enjoy yourself and have a chance to mingle with all. The room number will be announced at a later time.
President Faust announced for those not participating in the meeting on Saturday, September 21st, there will be an opportunity to shop in the area. Further details will be available on Friday Night, September 21, 2019.

Remember - All Committee Chairs, Organizations and Agencies are reminded that your reports must be sent electronically to the Secretary's Office at report@msfa.org no later than September 14th. A copy of the Agenda for Committees and EMSOF Partners reporting dates, will be forth coming. You are also requested to have fifteen (20) copies of your report prepared for distribution prior to your reporting time and should be turned into the Secretary's Office as soon as possible.
As in the past, any budget request must be submitted to Chairman Stephan Cox at budget@msfa.org.
President Faust has announced again that all gentlemen attending the Sunday, September 22nd portion of the meeting, should be dressed appropriately with a Sport Coat and tie. Also do not forget the Black Eye Susan Pin.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings of the Executive Committee so that you can be better informed and updated on the various emergency services issues, to better serve the citizens of Our Great State.
