All Officers, Committee Chairs and Organizations Representatives:
President David Keller has scheduled his next meeting of the Executive Committee of the Maryland State Firemen's Association for Saturday, February 7, 2015 and Sunday, February 8, 2015 at the Sudlersville Volunteer Fire Company, 203 North Church Street, Sudlersville, MD. There will be a hot breakfast each morning before the meeting is called to order promptly at 0900 hours and lunch being served at noon.
For those desiring to stay overnight, arrangements have been made at the Comfort Suites, which is located at 160 Scheeler Road, Chestertown, MD. A block of rooms is being held for MSFA at a reduced rate. Each individual is responsible for making their own arrangements. For reservations, call 410-810-0555 and group code "MSFA". Rooms are $99.00 a night. The Hotel is in the process of changing it's name to Quality Suites. When making arrangements, the phone may be answered as Comfort Suites or Quality Suites.
To reach the hotel from the Washington Baltimore area, follow US 50 east across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, continue on US 50 to Rt. 301 North to exit 25, Route 213 North. Follow State Route 213 north through Centreville, Church Hill and Chestertown to Scheeler Road, where you will make a right to the Hotel.
A "Welcome Reception" is planned for Friday evening at the hotel between the hours of 1600 – 2000, where you will have a chance to mingle with all.
President Keller announced for those not participating in the meeting on Saturday, there is a schedule trip planed for shopping in Dover.
President Keller has suspended the rules for Sunday dress by making a $5.00 donation and wear something Red. The funds collected will be presented to the Bessie Marshal Fund. Ronnie Watkins will also be there to take pictures for the upcoming Convention Book.
Remember - All Committee Chairs, Organizations and Agencies are reminded that your reports must be sent electronically to the Secretary's Office at report@msfa.org no later than January 31, 2015 and any budget request can be submitted to Chairman Stephan Cox at budget@msfa.org. You are also requested to have fifteen (15) copies of your report prepared for distribution prior to your reporting time and should be turned into the Secretary's Office as soon as possible.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings of the Executive Committee so that you can be better informed and updated on the various emergency services issues, to better serve the citizens of Our Great State.
