President Roger Powell has scheduled the next meetings of the Executive Committee of the Maryland State Firemen's Association for Saturday, February 27th and Sunday, February 28th, 2010 at the Lewistown District Volunteer Fire Department located at 11101 Hessong Bridge Road in Frederick, Frederick County.
There will be a continental style breakfast served on Saturday and a hot breakfast served on Sunday morning starting at 0745 hours, compliments of the Frederick County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association. The meetings will be called to order promptly at 0900 hours each day.
For those desiring to stay overnight, arrangements have been made at the Frederick Hampton Inn and Suites which is located at 1565 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick, Maryland. To reach the hotel, take I-70 W or E or 270 North to Route 15 North. Take exit #16 - Motter Avenue to Oppossumtown Pike, bear right, the inn is on your left. Go to the third traffic light and make a U-turn to come back to the entrance. The cost for the motel is $89.00 per night plus taxes. Each individual is responsible for making their own arrangements. The rooms are being held until February 12, 2010.
A hospitality event is planned for Friday evening at the Hotel at 1800 hours, with lite fare and beverages and a chance to mingle for all. President Powell has also arranged a trip for those not participating in the meeting on Saturday; more information to come by the end of the week.
