President John Denver has scheduled the next meeting of the Executive Committee of the Maryland State Firemen's Association for Saturday, April 20, 2013 and Sunday, April 21, 2013 at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company, 79 West Frederick Street Walkersville, MD.
President Denver has schedule a "Welcome Reception" for Friday Evening, April 19th at the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company between 1600 and 1800 hours, with a chance for all to mingle.
Saturday Morning, Walkersville Volunteer Fire Department will be serving donuts and pastries. After that, President Denver has arranged a shopping excursion for those not participating in the meeting on Saturday to the Gettysburg, PA outlets for a day of shopping. Bus service will be provided, leaving Walkersville VFC at 9:30 a.m. and stopping at the National Fire Academy to visit the Fallen Firefighters Memorial if they wish. Other stops will be in Thurmont at Mt. Gate Restaurant for lunch and if they wish they can stop at the Gateway Candy Market. Following the Executive Committee Meeting on Saturday, Walkersville VFC will be hosting a reception.
Please check the attached reporting schedule for the order in which you have been scheduled to report to the Executive Committee. If this schedule presents a problem, contact Executive Committee Chairman Benjamin Kurtz so that you may re-schedule. All Committee Chairs, agencies and organizations are reminded that your reports must be sent electronically to the Secretary's Office at reports@msfa.org no later than April 14, 2013. You are also requested to have ten (10) copies of your report prepared for distribution prior to your reporting time and should be turned into the Secretary as soon as you arrive. The reporting schedule will be forthcoming.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings of the Executive Committee so that you can be better informed and updated on the various emergency services issues, to better serve the citizens of our state.
