11/13/2010—Reports to the Executive Committee

MSFA President Doyle Cox will hold the next MSFA Executive Committee Meeting on November 13 & 14, 2010 at the Aberdeen Fire Company located at 21 North Rogers Street in Aberdeen, Harford County.

There will be a hot breakfast served each morning starting at 0730 hours til 0830 hours and the meetings will be called to order promptly at 0900 hours each day.

A hospitality event is also planned for Saturday evening at the Hotel in President Cox's room, with lite fare and beverages and a chance to mingle for all.

For those wishing to stay overnight, lodging arrangements have been made at $99.00 per night at the Holiday Inn Chesapeake House of Aberdeen, located at 1007 Beards Hill Road in Aberdeen, Maryland. Just mention the MSFA, when making your reservations, the number to call is 410-272-8100. The cut off date is October 22, 2010, this is a firm date.

Below is a list of Suggested Activities for those not attending the meeting (all plans are on your own):

1. Visit the historic city of Havre de Grace located 6 miles East of Aberdeen via US Route 40. Walking tour of downtown historic district that includes many quaint shops and antique shops. Shops open at 10:00 AM. There are also several popular coffee shops and restaurants in the downtown area, as well as on US Route 40. A visitors center is located in the downtown area behind the #2 fire station located on Union Ave and Pennington Ave.
2. Visit the Decoy Museum in Havre de Grace which is known as "The Decoy Capital of the World". The museum has a well regarded display of decoys, animated scenes of decoy carving, model displays, photographs and art work associated with decoy making and hunting in the Chesapeake Bay area. Nominal fee.
3. Visit the newly opened Perryville Hollywood Casino located at the I-95 Perryville Exit just across the Susquehanna River in Cecil County. Accessible via US Route 40 (Toll $5.00) or I-95 (Toll $5.00).
4. Shop at the Harford Mall or Festival of Bel Air located in Bel Air along MD Route 24, about 12 miles from Aberdeen.
5. Shop at the Avenue and Mall at White Marsh, located off Southbound I-95 at the White Marsh Blvd Exit. It is about 25 minutes away from Aberdeen.
