20241214 Reports to the Executive Committee
President Carey has scheduled his December Executive Committee Meeting of the Maryland State Firefighters Association for Saturday and Sunday, December 14th and 15th, 2024. The meeting will be at Berlin Fire Company, 214 North Main Street, Berlin, MD. The meeting will be called to order promptly at 9:00 a.m.
For those desiring to stay overnight, arrangements have been made at the Tru By Hilton, 3501 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, MD. A block of rooms is being held for MSFA at a reduced rate. Each individual is responsible for making their own arrangements. For reservations, call 410-520-4545 or https.//www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/msfa-executivecommitteeweekend2024/. Rooms are $69.00 per night plus tax, using code MSFA. Reservations must be made prior to November 25, 2024
A welcome reception has been planed for Friday Evening at the Berlin Social Hall between the hours of 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come by and see your friends and enjoy some refreshments and have a chance to mingle with all.
Members of Berlin Fire Company advised that there will be a Hot Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday, December 14th for a fee and will provide a Continual Breakfast on Sunday, December 15th
Attached you will find a copy of the Agenda.
Each Committee Chair and or Vice Chair should be prepared to give a verbal report to the Executive Committee on the activities of their Committee, as well as any upcoming events. You are also Reminded that All Committee Chairs, Organizations and Agencies must submit their reports electronically to the Secretary’s Office at report@msfa.org no later than December 7, 2024. This gives the Data Systems Committee time to post the reports. A copy of the Agenda for Committees and EMSOF Partners reporting time, will be forthcoming. You are also requested to have fifteen (15) copies of your report prepared for distribution prior to your reporting time and they should be turned into the Secretary’s Office as soon as possible.
As in the past, any budget request must be submitted to Chairman Stephan Cox at budget@msfa.org.
Everyone is encouraged to attend and participate in these meetings of the Executive Committee so that you can be better informed and you can update your members on the various emergency services issues that are being discussed by your association.
