2022-08-20_Reports to the Executive Committee

President Benjamin Kurtz has scheduled his First Executive Committee Meeting of the Maryland State Firemen's Association for Saturday and Sunday, August 20th and 21, 2022. The meeting will be at the Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., 3825 Federal Hill Road, Jarrettsville, MD.  The meeting will be called to order promptly at 9:00 a.m.

For those desiring to stay overnight, arrangements have been made at The Ramada by Wyndham , 1700 Van Bibber Road, Edgewood, MD. A block of rooms is being held for MSFA at a reduced rate. Each individual is responsible for making their own arrangements. For reservations, call 410-679-0770. Rooms are $89.99 per night plus tax, using code MSFA. Reservation must be made prior to August 1, 2022.  A “Welcome Reception” has been planned for Friday Evening, August 19th between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. at the hotel.  Come by and enjoy yourself and have a chance to mingle with all.

President Kurtz announced for those not participating in the meeting on Saturday, August 20th, there will be an opportunity to go shopping. Further details will be announced at the Welcome Reception on Friday night.  Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company personnel advised that there will be a Hot Breakfast and Lunch on Saturday, August 20th for a fee and will provide a Breakfast on Sunday, August 21th with a light lunch.

President Kurtz announced that all attending the meeting on Saturday, August 20th are invited to attend the after the meeting cookout. The Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Department will be providing Pit Beef, Turkey and Steamed Shrimp and sides. This will be provided courtesy of Jarrettsville VFD and free of charge to the members attending the MSFA Executive Committee
Meeting.

President Kurtz has announced that the dress code for Sunday, August 21, 2022 will be coat and tie.
