Constitution & Bylaws

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association adopted the organization’s current constitution and bylaws on April 7, 1988 at the Spring Conference held in Hagerstown, Maryland.

ANNUAL GRANT-IN-AID SCHOLARSHIP

LAMSFA established an Annual Grant-In-Aid at UMD in 1957 for an outstanding high school graduate enrolled in the Fire Protection Curriculum of the College of Engineering, for four years at $500 per year.

BESSIE MARSHALL BENEFIT FUND

Any member of a company or department in good standing in the Maryland State Firemen’s Association who is sick or injured (NOT in the line of duty) and thereby incapacitated may be entitled to weekly benefits.
Recognition of distinguished Service to the Ladies Auxiliary of the Maryland State Firemen’s Association.
A memorial to Olivia P. “Honey” King for dedicated service to the volunteer emergency services
Auxiliary member(s) who do(es) the most in fire prevention for their community

LAMSFA 50 Year Auxiliary Registration

In recognition of 50 continuous years as a Maryland Auxiliary, awarded in 5 year increments.

LAMSFA 50 Year Member's Registration

In recognition of 50 continuous years in a Maryland Auxiliary, awarded in 5 year increments.

LAMSFA Multigenerational Registration

Certificate in recognition of a tradition of multi-generational service in a Maryland Fire / EMS Auxiliary. All generations should be living but not necessarily active.

FIRE PREVENTION CONTEST – MOUSE PAD

The LAMSFA is calling auxiliary members to submit an original FLYER/HANDOUT designed with a fire prevention / fire safety message.

SAFETY CONTEST 2023-2024 – SAFETY COASTER

The LAMSFA is calling auxiliary members to submit an original, 8 x 8 SAFETY COASTER containing a message of situational safety awareness prior to the Spring Conference.

JOINT MEMORIAL SERVICE

Each June, at the MSFA Annual Convention & Conference , both the Association and the Ladies Auxiliary hold a memorial service for deceased department members. The deadline for submissions is March 1 for each upcoming Convention. Entries received after March 1 will be remembered at the following year’s Convention.
