MSFA Weekly Report for County Associations and Partners
Week ending 7.29.2022
PDF: MSFA Weekly Report week ending 7.29.22
**Information Needed** From the Office of the State Fire Marshal: information has been sent
to the Department of Emergency Management of those jurisdictions that are in compliance with
508 funding and reporting for FY 22. The only counties in compliance at this time are Anne
Arundel, Baltimore City, Frederick and Washington. Those counties that are not in compliance
must submit their MFIRS reports to the State Fire Marshal as soon as possible in order to
receive their funding.
Name Change Survey: Taskforce Chair Teresa Crisman will be sending the survey out shortly.
It will ask several questions regarding the proposed name changes and why the proposals failed.
We ask that those who receive the survey to reply in a timely manner as we continue
discussions on how we move forward into 2023. As a reminder, President Kurtz has asked that
NO NAME CHANGE PROPOSALS BE SUBMITTED until after January 1, 2023.
